Our Story
June 11, 2007 by Veronica Mitchell
My husband Az and I met in graduate school a decade ago when we were both studying ancient near eastern history and the Hebrew Bible. I fell for his bright blue eyes, smart ass sense of humor and stubborn reliability. He loved my smile and still tells me that life with a strong woman is never dull.
In the last four years we have had three babies, moved into a crotchety old house, and settled into a life we never expected but have grown to love. The dissertations wax and wane and the career goals seem a distant unreality, but parenthood turns out to be more exciting, exhausting and laughable than anybody ever told us.
I started a blog in the spring of 2006 and discovered this world of support and friendship among other bloggers. Here I write about my successes and failures, my past and future, and my faith.
Pull up a chair, pour a cup of coffee and stay for a while. We have lots to talk about.

Dissertations waxing and waning here too my dear. But life’s so much more fun. No?
