Is that…Ashley? I love Ashley!!
Ha ha ha ha! Spot on. I’ve never seen Pygmalion before, but now I’m intrigued.
My Fair Lady has always rubbed me the wrong way. What did you think of Pygmalion?
My Fair Lady is just the musical version of Pygmalion, and I hate the story in both. Henry Higgins is a jerk, and Eliza Doolittle is a chump for falling for him.
Henry Higgins IS a jerk, isn’t he? Washing The Baby’s hair is like wrestling with a sensitive alligator.
I’d never seen Pygmalion–just My Fair Lady–and I immediately remembered what you were talking about.
You are right, that scene played out in my bathroom tonight too!
It’s funnier when it happens to someone else.
I didn’t watch the link, but if it’s of any hope, my youngest used to freak out when we washed her hair. She couldn’t stand the smallest drop of water on her face. But somewhere between the age 2 and 7, she mellowed out…
That’s great! I haven’t seen Pygmalion, though I have read it, and now I need to see it. Yes, it did very much remind me of washing a baby’s hair!
Bathtime for my 3 year old, Ms. Independent, is very much like that. Uncanny!
Oh, that brings back so many memories of bathing a screaming child. Kind of heart wrenching to see a woman so terrified.
Oh, that was a hoot!!!
Ah! I need to see Pygmalian again. It has been ages! Thankfully I don’t have children that hated baths and washing hair that much. For encouragement, remember that, “This too shall pass.”
