A while ago Becky at Deep Muck Big Rake asked me to guest post for her while she was traveling. She had a lot of guest-posters lined up, and I filed away the date in my head and planned to write on Jan 8. I checked her blog yesterday and thought, “Huh. Whoever is scheduled for Jan 7 really dropped the ball. They haven’t written theirs yet.”
Today I checked her email again and, of course, I am the one who was supposed to post on Jan 7. I am the ball-dropper.
When Az the Husband and I were dating, a friend asked us to come hear his band play at a bar for Open Mike Night. He said, “Buy lots of drinks while we’re playing, because whichever band inspires the most drink sales will get asked back again. “
I don’t think any of my posts inspire drinking (but what do I know – I also thought the 7th was the 8th), but in the spirit of Open Mike Night, stop by and leave lots of comments at my guest post at Deep Muck Big Rake, so Becky will think it was a good idea to have me over.

Maybe your daughter could fill you in on How to Drop the Ball Like A Princess. Then no one would notice the lack of a post, they would all just be talking about how beautiful you are.
