This Sunday begins a new Christian year. The Christian liturgical calendar begins at Advent, when we prepare to welcome Jesus at Christmas.
This year I am planning to write a post for each Sunday in Advent and then follow up with another devotional series for the Twelve Days of Christmas, which is December 25th through January 5th.
So stop on by for a little Christmas cheer and thoughts on the Incarnation.

Can’t wait. Your theological posts are always excellent - expository, thought provoking and nourishing.
Awesome. I’m looking forward to it.
PS - Nymbler is the best thing ever, thank you.
Yeah!
Ooohh, I can’t wait. I look forward to what you will share with us.
I am so glad you are doing this.
Oh, goody!
Very cool. As it happens, I am campaigning my church to start a group Advent blog. I can’t wait to see yours.
I can’t wait! I don’t attend a church that follows the liturgical tradition, but I’m thinking about using the Book of Common Prayer for a personal/family Advent celebration this year.
Oooh, lovely! I look forward to it.
I love this idea. I had some friends last year who collaborated with their friends to do an Advent Blog and I loved it. I think I was the sole commenter and probably got on their nerves, but I didn’t care! It was good stuff!!! I don’t know if they’ll be doing it again this year, as I haven’t heard any word yet.
I look forward to seeing what you have to say.
I love this idea. Thank you!
I’ll definitely be reading. I’m so glad you’re planning to do this…
