Sweet Talk in the Last Trimester
March 10, 2007 by Veronica Mitchell
Me: I don’t know how you can still like me. I’m not nice, I’m not funny. I’m just large. Large and grumpy.
Him: You are still my witty wife. You’re just tired of being pregnant.
Me: But all I do is moan and groan and I’m not even nice to you.
Him: Honey, don’t take this the wrong way, but for the next few weeks, I plan to ignore most of what you say.
And I couldn’t be happier about it.

Hooray for BRILLIANT husbands. Seriously, he KNOWS just to nod and agree. Good man.
Aw. That’s kind of sweet.
I hate, hate, hate late pregnancy. And yet I want another baby. What is a gal to do?
THAT is so funny!!!
He’s a wise, wise man.
I LOVE that your husband said that! Smart guy!
And I guess I’m different from all of you… it’s ironic. I loved being pregnant. But I only wanted two kids. So we stopped. But I’d love to be pregnant again. Like Beck said, “What’s a girl to do?”
I always said that it is easier to carry them on the outside than it is to carry them on the inside.
You two have such a sweet way of understanding and respecting each other. Hope these last few weeks go by quickly!
Your husband is definitely one of those rare pearls. Best wishes in for next couple of weeks.
oh la la, I wanted to say “for the next couple of weeks.”
Sounds like a great guy who knows what to do.
Hang in there, it’ll be over soon!
He’s a keeper that’s for sure.
What a lovely man! It’s even more amazing when you think that you two can be this honest with each other and be talking about the next baby before this one is here.
Brutal honesty AND kindness…it’s almost too much to take!
that is hilarious!
