Overheard at Mitchell House
January 19, 2007 by Veronica Mitchell
(JellyBean, wrapped tightly in a bath towel and snuggled into my bed.)
“I am baby Jesus and you are my mother, Mary, and Daddy is my father, Joseph. What’s that? (pointing above my head) That’s your halo!”
“Why are you laughing like that, Mommy?”

Ha! And at my house, my daughter was using her cast to club her younger brother on his head. No halos here.
Gorgeous!
How long did it take you to recover?
How nice to know that your very own child thinks of you as perfect. Perhaps, it is the serenity of pregnancy that glows from within. Have you decided on a “knickname” for the coming little girl?
I haven’t picked a name for her in utero, but JellyBean refers to her as “our baby” or “tiny.”
