And won’t be back for a few days. We will be visiting some of our dearest friends, whom we have not seen since before we all had babies. Az loves them in part for this story:
Some graduates of our friends’ college got involved in a weird cult. The cult group started off as just another little church, but it degenerated into fanatical devotion to a leader who liked to beat people. One of the ex-cult members described the gradual process by which everything went weird and destructive and said, “It just shows that this can happen to anybody.”
And our friends responded, “Not Az. Az would say ‘That’s f*cked up’ and leave.”
He is so proud to have this reputation.
